Notification of result of appeal
38. - (1) On the final determination of an appeal under this Part, the Registrar shall notify in such manner as he thinks most convenient such determination to-
(a) the proper officer of the court of trial;
(b) the appellant and respondent; and
(c) where appropriate, the Superintendent of Prisons.
(2) The proper officer of the court of trial, on receiving notification shall enter the particulars thereof on the records of the court of which he is such officer.

...most convenient...and from what I can see, no reference to and actual time to a decision. I don't doubt anecdotal references to 24hrs but feel it is probably considered "most convenient" rather than a fixed rule, but, some obscure rule elsewhere could be well hidden.
