Taking that on a bit further: if COP has disrespected the Sen govt, and then got the Hell out of Dodge City, what do they care? (The annual turnover of Conoco-Phillips makes the Senegal GDP look like the proceeds of a chook raffle at Zipperlip’s surf club.). That’s all very well for Conoco. They can afford to be arrogant on a Texas scale. But where does that leave Woodside, who depend on the approval of the Senegal government? So you see the problem for the current WPL ceo.
