The Hualapai had their water rights taken away once already, by the colonizers who forced them from their land, so it would not be the first time if they lost them again. But they are ahead of the Navajos, who lost their claim to water rights in the Supreme Court 2023 decision. The Hualapai rights were restored by legislative action, and the Navajos are hoping for that
