no, a "deconsolidation" is not a term I have heard.
I think the correct terminology is a "share split".
that is the opposite of a consolidation.
it is exactly the same, only in reverse.
plenty of coys have done it.
I can think of say CSL (Commonwealth Serum LAbs) split it shares because the SP was too high.
they wanted to increase liquidity.
I raised this prospect a while ago in an earlier post.
CSL would have done it because:
- SP was too high for the average investor
- liquidity of shares too low
- coy was trading very profitably
- high probability that after split, the SP would increase ie split portions would trade higher that whole.
which aspects above are applicable to EGO?
well, only the liquidity issue imho.
