I have also always shared your way of thinking about Gippsland and the gold, but why shouldn' t there be some profit from gold in times when I see explorers going up only because they have tenements near tenements that have gold, as stock exchange isn't only logical and Gippsland has several tenements that comply that condition.
Just to change my point of view a bit from time to time.
