This is probably a box cut or longwall operation but with coking coal it doesn't really matter, the margin is fat enough. Sub 150m means a strip of just over 10, which is borderline opencut/underground.
The Anglo Moranbah North and Grosvenors deposits right next door are mining seams below 250m, so again not sure you understand anything when you made your baseless comments.
400m is very DEEP, so your concept of very very deep simply sounds uneducated...
