    We served with all sorts in Germany, very strange seeing Russian top brass in the NAAFI at RheinD for Xmas shopping, with our top brass in toe.

    Quite a few Diggers went through our bases too. The Southern arm of NATO good blokes. Was out there for a number of years in various spots. Good old days. Only 2m troops and 600,000 tanks in opposition.
