Deep value play, page-75

Just following up on my previous post.  

I've tried to show in a chart how the short sales have corresponded to the current share price.  I'm using open office at the moment so the chart isn't too clear.

Looking at the lead up to 27 July I wouldn't say there was a massive increase in short sales from the previous day, but there was a reasonable increase from the 25th of July.  So I'm guessing from this that the market just followed as the shorts were increased and support was  breached on (on the 25th) with relatively high volume.   If anything, the market has maintained their negativity for the time being as shorts have only increased as the price rose back above 3.40 .

As for the recovery, I'm sure we'll see next week when more data is released.

Whilst the above doesn't tell us allot about the future, in looking at this I was more interested to see what caused the plunge in the first place.  Without new and meaningful news it just goes to show how touchy the market for AMP shares is at the moment.
