Spot on mate. I believe the US is holding this project back due to the Chinese interest in rare earths; though, I don't think things will ever "work out" with the US and China. My hope is that Greenland can slip through the cracks in the midst of escalating tensions with China, the Middle East etc. We need a strong shift in geopolitical dynamics for this project to happen. These changes are gradually happening, though it could take many years before the US foregoes this Greenland issue.
