The DW expedition costs us$640,000 p/day because is isn't a old toyota from rent a dent! Do The math.

Transocean is the biggest supplier of these types of rigs in the world, and since the gulf disaster new regulations have been put in place to try and prevent further repeats of that event- it would seem all the 3 blow out preventers all failed in the gulf!! Who needs that enviromental bill??

It Would seem BHP and Otto may not want to be liable for a repeat of that type of event, if it happened, and would prefer to leave whatever is in the ground safe and secure until the safe and reliable tools for the job are available.

BHP maybe in a better position to negotiate a better deal which may lead to the drilling of both prospects in SC55,
but the down side is it may not happen in the short term and OEL share price may drop in the meantime.

However the prosects are still the same, and I feel confident that in the long term the patient will be rewarded!!
