This thread is hilarious . Old RWNJs not from Victoria losing their wigs over the Andrews statue. Clearly they don't have enough to whinge about in the state where their own caravan park is.

For the record, l think an Andrews statue is a really dumb idea . He was a paid official just doing a job . l also certainly agree that we can't afford it.

Statues are a concept from the past . Almost no one deserves a statue imo.

lf people want a statue of someone e.g. a sports person , they can pay for it themselves .

The only time l would support the idea of a government funded statue might be if it was of a community volunteer who dedicated their lives to helping others. And l'm sure that person would rather see the money put into the cause rather than see it spent on them .
