Opthea’s Phase 3 clinical trial did not meet its primary endpoint. However, the trial was conducted under the strictest international standards, including a double blinded, multi centre, randomised controlled design, overseen by independent regulatory and ethical bodies. The methodology and data integrity are not in question, and any suggestion otherwise is factually incorrect and legally reckless.Recent defamatory comments targeting Opthea, its staff, or its operations are unacceptable and will not be ignored.
