    Yes it can, if information is portrayed about a company that is untrue, and costs the company in some way, then they can try different means to recoup losses. It is unlikely that a company would take this course of action however, as things said here are unlikely to have a real detrimental effect on a company (you would think).

    If you are referring to one person against another within this forum, then I would say no, as almost all are posting under an alias, and a strong link between the alias and the poster could not normally be established. You would again have to prove the loss that has been attained, and this is most common only with well-known identities.
