    KIM's board today again recommended acceptance of GEM's offer.

    Curiously they make mention of the defeating condition: "and the Australian dollar not appreciating by more than 5 percent against the US dollar during the term of the offer".

    I do not profess to be currency guru (more at home with the old sesterces & denarii) but.... has the mighty oz risen more than 5 percent during the term of the offer??
