I read in one of their reports that they were working on rectifiers for defence applications, and I thought, righto, the military will electrify oneday too - whacko, but then the penny dropped.
I wonder if rectifiers are used in directed energy weapons such as EOS new titanis counter drone system. EOS talk about scaling it up from 35 kw to 50kw.
Not saying there is a link, but you never know.
