    IMO, you would need a very fat yield to be tempted into this sort of investment. In a low interest rate environment, the yields currently offered don't stack up, despite the inherent security of the investment.

    Property investment is all about capital gain, and defence force housing will, in general, offer lower capital gains then a similar property which isn't defence-affiliated.
