HC is mostly full of noobs, dreamers and rampers but in amongst the rabble are some truly amazing traders and investors. I’m a bit of a stalker and when I see someone on a moon stock like your MP1 making intelligent comments, I take a quick look at their recent posting history to see what other stocks they are holding - it’s a pretty quick way to see if they just got lucky or if there is more to them. I’ve looked back years through some people’s history and it’s simply amazing when you find a true guru and look to find where they entered some of their big winners. @TitusPullo is one who is really worth a search on, absolutely amazing investor. You are right up near the top of my list of fundamental investors. For me the FA is painted on the chart but it’s always nice to see one of the fundamental investors I respect holding as confirmation of what I see in the chart.

I first heard of HTG(or SM8 as it was known then) when @Pisces (@pisceangun on twitter) started tweeting it under 5c. He is another one of the real gurus of the investing world so while I don’t buy much of what he does(he targets a lot of mining explorers, early stage bios etc), anything he mentions is worth a look into. Pre-corona I thought this one was probably gone however during the crash, this stock continued to trade like it was a bull market, setting up a new base on top of the stage 1 bottom. Anyone who’s read Minervini’s books will know that the stocks that are the strongest through a bear market are likely to be the leaders coming out the other side, also the market leaders generally bottom before the index’s - this stock bottomed on the 13th March while the index didn’t bottom till the 23rd(that might not seem all that significant but when you look through other high quality names, this was pretty much the first non-corona stock to bottom and that says a lot to me). This stock ticked every box of Minervini’s market leaders criteria so I was just waiting for the right entry which was difficult given how thinly it traded back then. So I’ve been buying it through the bases and built a good sized position(relative to my account size)

As for targets on this, I don’t really have any short term targets, I could use some mirror patterns but I think the old high is probably the next point where it will either pullback from or come back to retest after pushing through. Friday’s volume suggests it may very well push straight through that level(27c) but it’s highly likely it will then need some time to digest the profit takers and old baggies. My long term target? Moon Really my plan in this one is to just hold it until it breaks my trending stock rules and even then I intend to keep watching it for another entry - good growth stocks will trend for months or even years.

As far as my TA goes, I’ve spent 13 years or so learning and I’ve changed how I view charts a lot over the years, from my early days chasing short term moves to now trying to identify the growth stocks that have the potential to run hundreds of percent. I used to pretty much only trade spec garbage however in my searches for those spec runners I noticed how many growth stocks can provide the same sort of gains without the binary event risks - things like MP1, BTH etc. I had formulated a basic plan on how to enter those, then I found Minervini who’s rules added to my understanding of how and why these stocks setup. Since then, I found suubee premium(their system is based around Minervini, O’Neil etc) and joined up back in January and this has been the best thing I ever did in learning the market. I can’t recommend them highly enough, the ability to pin point the entry down to the day makes buying and holding a stock much easier - if you are at profit from day 1, trading/investing becomes much less stressful! It doesn’t matter if you’re a day trader, swing trader, longer term position trader or even a long term fundamental investor, learning to enter a stock correctly is invaluable imo.

Anyway, that's enough rambling, time to get out and enjoy a cold, grey Melbourne day
