Perhaps "deliberately disingenuous" is better.
This is what they said "The Company has also subsequently been advised by the International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) that equivalent letters have been sent to all pending enforcement discretion applicants, indicating that the FDA is deferring any further review at this time of all pending applications."
Either way, I get the sense the CEO is playing the market - what with his interview with the AFR (rather than talking directly to shareholders) and now This. It does fill me with a sense that shareholders are not being informed fully and in a timely manner.
Deferral is not rejection! This looks like a pause whilst they clean house, page-24
