Defilibrators are devices that use an electrical shock to restore normal heart activity. The defilibrators that have recently been deployed throughout the Meir Medical Center are totally automated and can be operated by anyone - enabling immediate medical treatment to be provided in the event of someone collapsing due to heartbeat irregularities.
