    Jazz - agreed. So you're in the deflation camp? Remember, though that the plan is to pay close to 'hold to maturity' values for the assets - IE: a 'fair' valuation rather than the valuation the current market would assign to the debts. So overpaying for a distressed asset may also be seen as inflationary, no? Especially given that the goal here is to resell the assets for as much as possible within a 5 year timeframe - which would make inflation the government's friend.

    BugGold - would you do me a large favour and briefly outline why you're punting on stagflation?
