That's a very communist way of thinking, to think that government decisions are cheaper and more efficient than market decisions.
AGL has already proposed how it will replace Liddell, some gas and a lot of renewables + battery storage. The Australian Energy Market Operator endorsed this.
Then along comes the commies to tell free enterprise they've got it wrong.
