Except that they don't come and chip it for biomass for boilers.
You are assuming that is done every where. I can assure you that in a plantations for pulp and paper they don't.
As I said previously, the excess is just left behind. There is no value in doing anything with it.
Just as the bark mulch that is produced doesn't get used as mulch as it should. Too many handling issues.
In a perfect world all this would get processed but in the real world it just doesn't. Heaps of room for improvement here.
