I don't think big money will flow "once an offer is made." If an offer is made the only way money flows in to the degree that materially moves the sp is if there is a bidding war. Obviously there will be a back and forth between the DEG and ???, but beyond the arbitrageurs(sp?) the sp will settle near/below the offer.
The instos though may very well bid the price up only after their positions are bought. This is not a coordinated bid up, but a competitive one. The prize is a position at the best price.
Therefore, I think the sp will stabilize around an offer sp, with the bigger money being made in the run up, ie. soon? already? Watch a sustained uptick in volume, new substantial holders, pity I can't see the 4.99% and below instos...
