My initial thought would be dark pools where Instos volume trades without being 'lit' and with agreed prices. Yesterday's big transaction was at the post-auction. Volume daily is not out of the ordinary and if I understand correctly, a big volume spike at key levels is much more significant. I am only making a logical guess.
The price action today is still hugging the upper TL, a sign that bulls are not giving up yet. The local XGD could be going on a tear if the conflicts do not subside. I've read a few comments that the gold price is driven by the East and predominantly Chinese gold etf which is trading on a 30% premium. Watch that Bitcoin price action, distribution to now a break of support. Interestingly, the initial BTC ATH that broke again to the upside by circa $4K before the collapse is repeating from the current break of the ATH by another $4K. Gareth Soloway pointed this out yesterday. If BTC collapse, prepare for the money to rotate back to gold!
