From my pov you should have domestic based company or bank account when investing overseas. Then you get your spp or sophisticated rights offered and clear definition when negoitating the diff tax systems.
It was only a couple of years back that the same impact on au investing in usa. Without a US denominated account you could not own US stocks directly. So its not new at all.
Sounds like arh's body double.
