What is inside information?

What is the definition of the offence of insider trading?

"It is an offence under the Corporations Act to trade using inside information, or communicate inside information to others who will, or are likely to, trade on the inside information."

So having fantasies, or telling porkies, about GCN on HotCopper is presumably not an offence, though the mods can smother unsubstantiated information.
