Prior to today, did the two companies involved think that Puntland was in nw of western Australia?
Did they suddenly become aware that they were due to set up the rig in Somalia, one of the top five hell-holes on the planet?
Did they think that they could just sail in to port without a seriously heavy armed escort?
Do they think that things on the water and on the ground will change for the better in the next couple of months?
If they have suddenly decided to wait for peace and harmony, then forget about the 2010 options, and forget about the fully paids. Complete joke.
Two possibilities to consider:-
1. Someone doesn't want 2008 options any where near in the money;
2. Someone wants to see rrs bleeding, not much cash left, no income, hard to raise cash now, vulnerable.
Interesting to note that a certain mysterious entity (Consort-the real winners) have received a multi-million dollar payment. That money isn't coming back to Range even if the whole project never gets off the ground.
