delays in csfb info

I enquired how much it would cost to get the information hot off the press from a large supplier(I can't remember which) they said $2000- a month.
Now I can see how slow we mere mortals get information.
By somebody's goodwill? on 2/8/05 we found out CSFB downgraded NLX to underperform from neutral and down to 25 cents from 30 cents. This was on the proviso that after the 2005 results come out(now due next Tuesday) they may reverse that.
As a matter of curiousity I've constantly searched CSFB website(delayed for normal people) and National Online(use Consensus or another firm) to see when this comes out there.
It hasn't changed yet.So by the time the company results change everything(I assume) back, the normal people wouldn't have known -probably to their benefit, because I think CSFB downgrade was wrong.
In this case informed is uninformed (perhaps why we were let to know -market maipulation to lower prices for buyers, I've complained to ASX).
How often could we be in the dark in situations where the delayed information was useful?
