Yes but that policy is just one more reason why HC is becoming less and less relevant.

Why bother doing an "intelligent" well thought out post when, if some idiot replies with a profanity, the entire thread (including your post) gets wiped.

Some of the "newbies" probably don;t remember the "old days" when your posts took about 20 mins before being available while the mods checked the post. When they moved to immediate display we thought it was a great advance - not so I now think.

Personally, I now just browse HC occassionally for entertainment only (the VCR posts have been a great source of entertainment). Why bother actually thinking about a topic and assembling a worthwhile post when it stands a good chance of getting wiped.
