Banks' are now account for 40% of ASX 200, while in Japan it is below 15%, US and EU at around 20-25%.

where is bank's growth coming forum,Credit cards? the Reserve Bank would cut interchange fees, and allow tls, cml, wow, and other non-banks to cmplet with them!

Housing finance approval figures released yesterday showed a 2.3 per cent rise in new approvals during April, but this was driven by a
17.1 per cent increase in financing activity.

Finance for the construction of new dwellings fell 3.6 per cent in April, the fifth consecutive monthly fall in trend terms, and is 30 per cent below its January peak. Finance for erected dwellings rose 3.3 per cent, but is down 25 per cent from its peak in September.


Business confidence also show lower.

Only thing BANKs can do now is cuting jobs, close branches, well I guess no much more they can to now!

NAB is closing 56 branches, while ANZ plan to open some to restore customer faith!
