I'm not sure how you would be able to do that (comparing different timeframes with the same SOI when shares on issue change over time)

I treat cap raises as a normal announcement and try to examine how it will affect the SP both short and long term. As you'd know most of the time cap raises are done at a 15% discount to VWAP which share holders get angry about, causing some short term volatility in the SP with more shares on issue.
But long term sets a company up for typically a years worth of funding and good trading after the volatility dries up from CR. Then there's the rare CR done at a premium which shoots the SP up most of the time. With FLC however it hasn't ever recovered from the recent cap and is still below CR levels.

To answer your question about my trendline - for me I think of a CR as a normal news event so I just forget about the changing SOI and go ahead with TA on my charts and use trendlines to figure out where a stock is going and where it's most likely to go next. Yes off coarse I factor in what affect certain cap raises could do to the SP but I don't worry about trying to keep the SOI the same for different time frames. My tip is to just think of a CR as a normal announcement with news of some description.

I also mentioned in that post it would be awesome for FLC to breakout out of that 4 year long term trendline (shown below) as it shows potentially a new uptrend forming by breaking out of its old long downtrend.


When drawing trendlines or support and resistance you want at least 3 touches. Touches include the top or bottom a candle body or wick. This will make your trendlines or support and resistance 'Valid' IMO. Can't go through the middle of a wick or candle and call that a touch.
