    Indian bureaucracy is known for slowing projects down so that they extract payment to speed it up. When looking at the pace of development, one has to compare India with China. How has China managed to lift 250m people out of poverty in 25 years when India couldn’t?

    India is a vast place, a complex bureaucracy without a benevolent central planning authority. Add politics into the mix and we have a quagmire. FLC doesn’t have the bandwidth nor the personnel for India, not at this time when the low fruits arr ripe for picking in China and SE Asia.

    The article was meant to raise the profile to attract Indian Partners, the equivalent of China’s national SOE’s IMO. FLC can’t totally disengage from India but I would rather FLC focuses on the low fruits for now.
