Antibodies are proteins and can therefore be given only intravenously, or, in a few examples, subcutaneously. The PAB antibodies are given intravenously. As they are only at the clinical trial stage, then the Ab is given in the hospital under the trial conditions.
With other antibodies which eg are being used in rheumatoid arthritis, they can be given subcutaneouly and administered at home.
