My understanding is that there are basically 5 sub-groups of ore:

1. Gold that is sufficiently close it would be defined in a unadjusted mining plan for Lithium. For this gold there's a minor administrative issue of planning lithium waste rock more carefully so that the "waste" rock with gold ore goes for processing.
2. Gold ore that is close to the lithium mine plan meaning its sensible to amend the Lithium waste rock plan to also include this Gold bearing ore.
3. The targeted lithium ore from a mix of open pit and underground.
4. Lithium and Gold ore that are too thin/deep or sufficiently separated from the main mining plan that they are not economic to mine.
5. Gold resources that could be economic to mine separately but re not part of the lithium mining plan.

For the first group, the margin is close to gold price less processing cost. Mining and Processing occur profitably at grades well below Mt Ida's so there should be strong profit margins on category 1.

The second category is could have huge margins if its really close to a non-gold waste plan. If its right on the edges of the expansion then the margin would be what Delta consider the commercially acceptable minimum margin from extending the "waste" rock management plan.

Delta have confirmed 85% of the Gold is within categories 1 and 2.
