This play exposes GNC to the inputs side of rural business. With the seasonality of their business (busiest when the crops are being pulled off) it gives revenue for the other 6-8 months of the year.
Seems to be a cyclical thing, the entire rural industry is in a phase of consolidation, nutrien with ruralco, elders with AIRR and this group mentioned Delta have been in an aggressive growth phase for a couple of years now. They have taken over/ entered JV's with North West Ag, Cox rural and David greys of late and been opening new shopfronts.
With rural sector, the wheel will turn at some point to poor conditions and prices, its just a matter of what you are exposed to when it happens. For now though load up!
