"It is therefore essential to check any controversial verse translation such as this with a true word for word translation of the actual Arabic Quran. It is clear from the true word for word translation of this verse that no such promise of 72 or even 1 virgin exists in the Quran"

What a spoilsport you are Wibbo.
Also I would stay extra alert because now you will have the Islamic recruiters who specialise in lassoing testosterone filled young men, after your hide.

As a matter of interest and recalling from memory so don't quote me, part of the material Dlux posted, claimed that the original transcription of the Quran was quite possibly Aramaic. There is a word that sounds similar to the Arabic word for "companions" but refers to a particular delicious kind of white grape ... which would seem to fit in better within the context of vinyards, vines, wine and reaping the fruit of one's actions etc.

The premise being that this word and many others were mistakenly translated. It goes on to give other examples that make obscure passages in the Quran suddenly make sense when a similar sounding Aramaic word is substituted.

Possibly you are vitally occupied with plans for implementing the 10 or 12 Commandments as your practical solution for the ills of the World, but Dlux's post might be worth a quick revisit.
BTW you do know the commandments as per Moses have already been around for about 3,500 yrs.
