There are so many experimental batteries these days, all threatening to 'revolutionize' battery storage, but right now lithium works/proven, and vanadium flow batteries work/proven. Governments don't need to wait, big batteries should be rolling out right now...
I swear a big company with a lot of capital could literally own the entire energy storage market in 5 years if they started now.
