well, mate, if you can't see anything disturbing about juries looking up passages in the Old Testament to work out your innocence or guilt or the sort of punishment that should be meted out to you and that it would need the Supreme court to reverse their decision, then I'd suggest you can see no difference between shariah and westminster legal systems.
Does not the fact that "many of the jurors" (not one but many of them) consulted the Bible disturbed you? Does not the fact that the Koran is damned near identical to the Old Testament worry you? Does not the fact that "a raging debate" about this issue is still taking place worry you? Does not the fact that judges are elected in the States worry you? Does not the fact that maniacs like that not only elect the President of the US and its judges, they have also infiltrated the very heart of a once strong Democracy -its courts of Justice- and is now turning it into a full-blooded Theocracy, worry you?
