I would also prefer to see more referendums take place too.
For instance your major decisions such as climate change, gay marriage, Muslim immigration, and other major changes to a country should be voted on at elections.
People are already there to cast their votes, have it on the bottom on the vote slip and you won't even need an extra piece of paper.
