Is there an electable dem keeping his/her powder dry 'til 2024? I can see why that would be considered better than getting into this sheetfight this year, only to be beaten by Trump anyway.
I don't think that candidate exists though and the GOP will be able to line up some strong candidates. These last few years have sorted out the doers from the talkers. Don Jr had better stick with his day job, the nomination would not come easy.
