I would suggest that Trump was allowed lawyers, but he has declined to allow them to attend this 'sham':

Witnesses? witnesses would be anyone with knowledge or involvement correct? Maybe someone that would be subpeonaed for their knowledge? He was allowed witnesses, but has told them not to go. (The ignored subpeona's to Giuliani, Mulvaney, Bolton, Perry, John Eisenberg, Robert Blair, Michael Ellis, Brian McCormack etc)

And as for the questions? It was a perfect call, and nothing occurred, no quid pro quo. So surely any of them could answer questions.

As for secret depositions? Hardly secret when over 40 GOP members were on committees with access to those meetings.

If I was innocent, knew I was innocent, had evidence I was innocent, had people who were involved in the discussions and calls who also could testify and provide evidence I was innocent.. then yeah, I'd have absolutely no issue being taken to court, I'd welcome it.

Instead Trump has directed 13 people who were subpoenaed to not attend or provide any information, he's refused to provide any documentation that could exonerate him, and now refuses to be involved in the process at all. All the while lashing out via Twitter and in the media.

An innocent man should have nothing to hide, so why isn't Trump behaving like the leader of the free world that he is meant to?
