The deal involved two parties, the Taliban had no interest to alter the deal and were going to hold the US to the deal they made with Trump.
Short of breaking the deal totally and putting more troops back into Afghanistan and escalating the conflict. There were only two bad options, which would you choose.
Anyway, the question was, "What practical suggestions would you have made to achieve the withdrawal within the constraints of the Trump/Taliban deal?"
