I wonder (what sort) of rig they have picked up 2nd hand in Aust?.... Have there been any announcements?
Would not surprise me if its a 2000HP LeTourneau Lightning which can drill to 6000m or a 1500HP NOV Ideal which can drill to 5000m. Both capable pieces of gear.
Let the ‘fun’ begin ..... shall be watching with interest the progress of Vulcan as ‘tyro drillers’ as they head for geothermal territory. Hopefully they will produce regular drilling reports (ASX requirement?) once they spud.
Once they get some completed holes on the board ...... I will feel more at ease re operating rigs themselves.
