yes, downside is limited as it will flow gas from the shallow formations even if the deep gas fails for one reason or another, so its a limited risk, which is good for a first attempt.
The reality is Dempsey is a dress rehearsal and Alvares is the main event, and XST have 25% of Alvares..... I would recommend investors read the DOGGR logs from 1982, it demonstrates the technical challenge and the commercial opportunity of Alvares, again I hope that SGC have a top notch drilling contractor ....
