This could become one of those Beta/VHS moments in history.
I reckon there's plenty of room for both technologies.
I think evs are ideal for the average Australian motorist. Still too expensive of course but the price is falling steadily with an expected ice/ev sticker price cross over in the next few years for some models. Battery technology is also on the improve so in that same period batteries might get to the capacity where they suit all domestic and small commercial motorists. E.g. 700-1000km range.
As battery density increases, range anxiety will be a thing of the past.
Every house is an ev charger. The ' fuel ' network is already well established. The hydrogen one is not.
Hydrogen, provided they can get the cost down, will be ideal for big energy storage and powering big machines such as ships, small power stations and used in industrial processes where large amounts are needed.
