hi kingpins...
I was a big customer in those days....yes, they treated you like...well a good customer...a VIP...and I recipricated.....I felt good, and I bought some great items..and spent some huge money

like the fridge, tv, stereo's , that lasted for 20 years before serious repairs were required...
seriously I did my biggest shopping sprees on the boxing day, and pre june 30th sales...at those stores....

but I no longer bother to even read their ads for same...
most major whitegoods appliances have a life of less than 5 years ...possibly 3 years at most...then they die

so I now require a discount of a min 70%, knowing the life expectancy of the item is just a 3rd of its former life...

China Inc ... may have to rethink....the cheap 'easy money'...easy come...easy go..attitude of the west...in consumerism
