From my own experience I have nothing but praise for the psychiatrist that diagnosed me recently. Not only did he come very highly recommended, but he also his patients as he would a member of his own family. Just a terrific human being oh and a bloody good doctor too ;)
That said I have just watched the story on Today Tonight here in Perth on Glenn Mitchell (former long-serving ABC sports broadcaster) and his entire story as relayed by both himself and his wife Karen Tyghe, resonates with me almost to the most minor detail!
The key to my diagnopsis and it appears Glenn's too was the doctor asking my wife to attend the second consultation. He did this in the hope she could provide a perspective of someone outside the square so to speak.
Fortunately Glenn's wife Karen was astute, intuative, caring and understanding as well as worries sick as was my wonderful wife. The rest they as they say is hitory - diagnosis achieved ;)
