    Kenneth,

I think it's safe to assume that you haven't had depression or experienced it via anyone close to you.

Your posts show a complete ignorance of how depression works. Just to give you an insight check this link out and read some of the stories on "depression central". It will enlighten you on how sometimes the simplest of things can trigger depression. http://www.depressionforums.org/forums/forums.html

Don't ever assume that people don't have anything to be depressed about. With one in five Australians likely to experience depression, you will have someone close to you that has it and you don't even know. learn the signs and one day you may save a life.

Yes, I do suffer from depression and have done for 12 years.
Unlike many sufferers I don't hide my depression and will openly admit it to people. You'd be surprised how many times people have admitted to me that they have depression and never told family or friends. Fortunately, I have extremely supportive family friends and work colleagues.

For anyone suffering depression, tell your doctor, see a psychologist, tell your mum or dad, best friend etc. The way I look at it is if your are sick with the flu you see a doctor, depression is no different it's an illness.

    Macca
