Depth of knowledge held by imec., page-8

I like this pivot to an imec based thread... I was thinking a chat about what people's thoughts are on the possible outcomes of the meeting could be, and what impact that like have on sentiment and share price...

some thoughts:

1. imec take our data and review, validate it and publish some findings (papers, an endorsed market release, etc). Positive SP effect (validation of the findings) and shows a path to drumming up interest in the purchaser's.

2. Imec say "this is awesome. Now do PL5 to go and test these metrics and hammer home the message to buyers". Mixed SP effect because while an endorsement from imec, PL5 would take maybe 4-6 months to do fab then do testing etc. (No etch issues to fix so can be faster).

3. They get us on the imec consultancy path right now to work on our pitch to potential buyers. Neutral SP effect - doesn't really change anything right now.

4. imec say meet Mr X, he's got $2bn to spend. Come on in. Positive SP effect because demonstrates buyers are starting to pay attention.

If I was imec (who let's face it are a fee for service mob for 4DS), I'd be saying "do all 4 with us and pay us this much for it". I would have a proposal (with a fee and timetable) ready and waiting for 4ds when they walk through the door. imec could make an extra few mil in 6-8 months and push it closer to transaction (where they get another €5m).

could definitely do all these things at the same time:

1. Starts now, imec team needs nearly a month? Maybe a couple of the chips back to validate?

2. Starts after 1, takes 4-6 months to complete.

3. Start now, uses some of the input from #1 to keep it add some colour to the doc.

4. Meeting would be more meaningful once 1&3 is finished. Could definitely ram it home when #2 finished.

If DM came back and said they had a plan like that, I think the combination would be extremely positive. PL5 on its own, to me, is not worth flying over for a meeting. So it's got to be a bunch of things (like meeting parts of imec they haven't worked with before).
