Sure, SRI have cash, Mikey will survive, but if the sp gets down to 2c, retirees will have to sell huge parts of their holdings just to pay their bills. Its not only Greece, mate, its also Italy, Spain, Portugal, the whole incestuous lot.
If they all go under, our financial institutions will collapse also. Iceland seems to be an inspiration to all in how it defaulted.
Whether "Doom & Gloom" is justified fundamentally remains to be seen. But fundamentals aside, if sp's collapse, we will hurt.
